Endotracheal Tube Assembly

Endotracheal Tube Assembly

A common and essential medical device for multiple applications, endotracheal tubes are utilized for clearing airways for patients undergoing anesthesia, experiencing an airway blockage, or to support breathing in certain illnesses like pneumonia, emphysema, heart failure, or a collapsed lung. Because these devices are intended for use in such vulnerable places in the human body, it is essential they are produced and handled according to strict sanitary production standards. MDI can help with your complete endotracheal tube production through clean room extrusion and assembly services.

Materials and Process

Typically, we extrude all of our endotracheal tubes using polyvinylchloride (PVC). We can also co-extrude a radio-opaque line that allows medical professionals to confirm the tube’s position when viewed on an X-ray. Additionally, we offer our customers great custom capabilities! MDI can form the tube to follow the anatomy of the upper airway, with the ability to bevel, face and punch the tip.

Extensive Capabilities – From Mold to Assembly

Alongside our extrusion capabilities, we also have in-house blow molding and dip molding to support all your balloon and cuff needs. With clean room assembly services, our team can assemble and bond your pilot balloon and luer locks, then decorate, apply markings, test for leaks, and package the final assembly before product distribution.
